Account Manager is an inside sales position selling specialty technology products, software and total solutions in B2B environment. Tasks include managing and growing business with the existing reseller accounts and outbound prospecting for new customers and business opportunities; responding to incoming sales calls and inquiries in order to engage in consultative selling.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Generate profitable business
- Be responsible for the whole sales cycle from quote to order delivery
- Proactively look for new customers/opportunities and recruit those
- Grow business with assigned customers
- Effectively manage customer base by maintaining regular contact
- Build strong business relationships with customers and suppliers
- Engage in consultative selling by being a trusted advisor for ScanSource customers
- Respond quickly and accurately to customers' incoming inquiries related to price, availability, product specification
- Negotiate pricing and buying conditions and maintain those in the system
- Support customers with projects
- Promote new products, marketing activities, events etc. to ScanSource customer base
- Ensure effective internal communication between inside and outside business development team and across the company
- Meet or exceed quarterly sales targets
Required:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in the languages required
- Sales experience in a related or similar field
- Strong organisational skills
- Proactive
- Proficient with computer and software applications including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to build strong business relationships with both customers and colleagues
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment
- Team player, enthusiastic, positive personality, results driven
- Self-starter who possesses the ability to prioritize tasks
- Highly motivated
